A Monday afternoon crash has caused a lane closure and serious delays on Interstate 20-59 in Greene County, Alabama State Troopers say.

Sergeant Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency in West Alabama, said the two-vehicle crash happened around 3:30 p.m. Monday.

He said all northbound lanes of Interstate 59 are blocked near the 47 mile marker in Greene County and will be closed for an undetermined amount of time.

Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division are on scene investigating and will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly, King said.
