Brookwood Man Arrested After Saturday Stabbing in Vance That Hit Artery
A Tuscaloosa County man has been arrested and charged with felony assault after he reportedly stabbed another man three times at a home in Vance last Saturday, hitting an artery.
According to court documents filed on Thursday, the two men were at a residence on Dudley Road in Vance when they got into a fight at about 9 p.m.

The suspect, 48-year-old Jason Mahan, is accused of pulling out a sharp object and stabbing the other man in the stomach three times.
Court documents say the victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment, and medical staff advised police that one of his arteries had been hit in the stabbing.
After an investigation, officers with the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit arrested Mahan and charged him with first-degree assault. He was booked in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on Wednesday, where his bond was set at $5,000.
