Tuscaloosa Police Identify Man Fatally Struck While While Walking on Train Tracks Tuesday
Police in Tuscaloosa have identified the man who was fatally struck by a train in the city Tuesday afternoon.
As the Thread previously reported, police responded to the area of McFarland Boulevard and Dr. Edward Hillard Drive around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday after a railroad employee called to report the deadly accident.

Taylor said the train belongs to the Norfolk Southern Railroad and that its operators were unable to stop before striking a person who was walking on the tracks Tuesday.
That person was 49-year-old Darnell Williams, of Tuscaloosa, who did not survive being struck by the train.
