Mcadory said a softball game was under way when a bolt of lightning struck a light pole at the ball park.

He said something called a feeder band arced off the pole and struck a person at the park.

Mcadory said because of privacy laws, he could not say much about the victim except they were transported to a Birmingham area hospital.
