Person Fatally Shot at Tuscaloosa’s McDonald Hughes Activity Center

A person has been fatally shot outside Tuscaloosa's McDonald Hughes Activity Center Saturday afternoon, police report.

Stephanie Taylor, a spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, said officers are responding to reports of a shooting at the West Tuscaloosa gym and meeting space.

Taylor said the shooting happened shortly after 4 p.m. Saturday.

Captain Marty Sellers the co-commander of the Tuscaloosa violent crimes unit confirmed the shooting was fatal.
