Four Inmates Escape From Perry County Prep Center
Law enforcement agencies in Central Alabama are searching for Marquavious Billingsley, Jaden Maxwell, Johnny Bush Jr., and Kevin Gunn. The four were being housed at the Perry County Correctional Prep Center for the Dallas County Sheriff's Office and escaped early this morning, according to the Perry County Sheriff’s Office.
The alert was sent out around 1:00am to surrounding law enforcement agencies. So, far there have been no reported sightings.

The Perry County Prep Center was housing the four inmates under an agreement with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department. Three years after an EF-2 tornado tore through Selma and caused major damage to the Dallas County Jail, the facility remains closed, with little visible progress toward reopening. That has resulted in Dallas County being forced to parcel out inmates to surrounding counties.
The escapees are facing multiple charges, including breaking and entering vehicles, first-degree escape, assault first degree promoting prison contraband, first-degree robbery, and murder.
Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding the escapees’ whereabouts is urged to call 911. The Perry County Sheriff's Office is reminding citizens who may come into contact with the escaped inmates to, "Please do not attempt to approach or apprehend them."
More information is expected from Dallas and/or Perry County authorities later this weekend.
