Peggy Joyce Pruden (September 10th, 1943 – August 21st, 2025)

Peggy Joyce Pruden, age 81, of Northport, Alabama, passed away August 21, 2025, at Northport Medical Center.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2025, at Magnolia Chapel North with Dr. Herbert Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Shanghi Cemetery in Quinton, Alabama with Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation is 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Monday at Magnolia Chapel North.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy C. Pruden Sr.; her parents, John and Nancy Wooten; sisters, Bobbie Brown and Faye Tyra; and grandson, John Eric Pruden.

Survivors include her daughters, Phyllis Steele (Charlie), Teresa Turner (David), and Sonya McAteer (Rodney); son, Billy Pruden (Angie); brother, Billy Wooten (Tilda); grandchildren, Keith Koon, Brittany Hardy, Blake Hannah, Justin Pruden, and Jocelyn Pruden; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved the Lord and her family deeply. She loved singing, fishing, playing softball and watching baseball. She will be missed so very much by her family and friends, but she will be so happy to be with Jesus, her husband Billy, her parents and sisters. She always wanted to make people smile and was such a giving soul. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Pallbearers will be Billy Pruden, Jr., Rodney McAteer, David Turner, Blake Hannah, Justin Pruden, Keith Koon, Jeff Tyra, and Trevor Sprowl.

Honorary pallbearers are all of her nephews.
