Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle in Rural Tuscaloosa County Wednesday

Highway lanes are blocked in rural Tuscaloosa County after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near Elrod, Alabama Wednesday morning.

Corporal Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Alabama State Troopers, confirmed state police are responding to a single-vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on U.S. Highway 82 near Boyd Road.

King did not have information about the pedestrian's condition around 10 a.m. Wednesday.

He said the eastbound lanes of Highway 82 are blocked in the area of the accident.
