A Northport man was killed Friday evening in a single vehicle accident on Lary Lake Road, Alabama State Troopers confirmed Saturday morning.

Justin O'Neal, a spokesperson for the Troopers in West Alabama, said the victim, 33-year-old Kenneth D. Beasley II, was driving a 2007 Jeep Compass on Lary Lake Road near Frank Lary Road when his vehicle left the roadway.

O'Neal said the Jeep struck multiple trees then overturned, and Beasley did not survive the injuries he sustained in the accident.

The wreck took place just before 5:30 p.m. Friday, O'Neal said.

Beasley was a Northport resident, and the accident took place in Tuscaloosa County around six miles north of the city.

Nothing further was available Saturday as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
