The Northport City Council approved $9 million worth of road construction during its biweekly meeting Monday.

Council president Jeff Hogg outlined the plans on his Facebook page. Here are the upcoming projects:

• Watermelon Road resurfacing
• Charlie Shirley Road resurfacing
• Main Avenue from Highway 82 to 5th Street resurfacing and pedestrian improvements
