Three airlines are offering new, direct flights for college football fans looking to attend Alabama and Auburn's home or away football games this season.

A spokesperson for the Birmingham Airport Authority announced the new flights in a press release last week.

BAA says American Airlines, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines have all added nonstop flights to or from Birmingham for a series of games both inside and outside of Alabama.

United has also added three direct flights to Birmingham for Alabama's home bouts against Wisconsin, Tennessee, and LSU.

"The flights will typically depart BHM on Friday before the scheduled game and return on the following Sunday," said Kim Hunt, a BAA spokesperson in a press release. "All additional flights added for the big games are available for booking now via the airline
websites."
