
Meet Local Law Enforcement at Tuscaloosa’s Rescheduled National Night Out Next Week
Families and kids can meet local first responders, get hands-on with their vehicles and other gear and have other safe fun next week at the rescheduled National Night Out in Tuscaloosa.
The annual event brings together law enforcement officers, firefighters, paramedics, and other first responders and will come to downtown 's Government Plaza next Thursday, September 25th.
Confirmed attendees include the Tuscaloosa Police Department, the County Sheriff's Office, Northport Police, the state's Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue, the University of Alabama Police Department, the Tuscaloosa County EMA and the police force from Stillman College.

The event was planned for August, but was rescheduled due to the weather and is now set for late next week.
"National Night Out is a chance for people to come out and see all the different things we do. We’ll have our drones flying, our forensics team and bomb squad showing their equipment, and a lot more," said Sebo Sanders, Tuscaloosa PD's community chief said. "It’s a fun opportunity, especially for kids, to meet officers in a friendly setting and learn more about the police department."
