Motorcyclist Dies After Wreck on Tuscaloosa’s Crescent Ridge Road Tuesday
A motorcyclist who was critically injured in a wreck near Tuscaloosa Tuesday afternoon has died, Alabama State Troopers confirmed Wednesday evening.
Corporal Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Troopers in West Alabama, said 23-year-old Darterrius D. Washington was driving a 2009 Suzuki Gladius motorcycle on Crescent Ridge Road when he reportedly fell from the bike around 3:30 Tuesday afternoon.
King said the motorcycle went on to strike a 2008 Chrysler Sebring that was being operated by a 16-year-old, and Washington was badly hurt in the accident.
The motorcyclist, Washington, was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center, but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
King said Washington was a Tuscaloosa man.
King said the crash happened on Crescent Ridge Road about a mile east of the Tuscaloosa city limits.
No other information was available Wednesday evening, and King said Troopers contnue to investigate the deadly crash.
