Mercedes-Benz to Host Virtual Hiring Fair Monday for West Alabama
Mercedes-Benz US International (MBUSI) is partnering with West Alabama Works to host a virtual hiring event later this month for those looking to work in the automotive industry in West Alabama.
The hiring event will take place starting Monday, January 24th. Full-time permanent MBUSI Production Team Member positions will be offered, starting at $20 per hour. MBUSI seeks to conduct direct hires during the event. Not to mention hires can take advantage of "day one" eligibility for all of MBUSI's benefit programs.
Since the event is virtual, the goal is to keep the hiring event open as long as slots are still open.
"Automotive is one of the main sources that will help us in our overall manpower needs," said Rolf Wrona, Vice Present of Human Resources at MBUSI.
"With COVID-19 case numbers fluctuating, adjustments to the way things are done has been vital," said Donny Jones, Executive Director at West Alabama Works. "It speaks volumes to the vision of MBUSI to remain adamant about holding virtual hiring events to make sure West Alabama residents have ample options for career opportunities."
Anyone interested in participating are encouraged to fill out an online profile with West Alabama Works here and connect to the Production Team Member position. A WAW team member will reach out to applicants shortly thereafter.
