Melynda Stephens age 67, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on August 28, 2022 at her residence.

A private funeral service will be held at Magnolia Chapel South with Brother Rick Dunn officiating. Magnolia Chapel South will be directing.

Melynda was preceded in death by her Mother Mary, Husband Scott Lynn, and very special Uncle Robert (Bob) Ammons.

Survivors include her husband Ronnie Stephens, sons Chris Mitchell (Michelle), Clay Mitchell (Rachel); father Tom Caradine (Lottie); brothers David Caradine and Tommy Caradine, grandchildren Kyle, Kayla, and Gemma; and very special Aunt Margene Ammons.

Melynda was a graduate of Berry High School, class of 1973 and attended Auburn University. Melynda retired from her long career in advertising with the Tuscaloosa News. Retirement allowed her to spend time doing the things she loved the most which were spending time with family, going on cruises, relaxing at Logan Marting Lake, taking trips to the beach, and loving on her grandkids. Melynda also had a great love for animals, especially her cats Tanner and Sister. She treated her "babies" as just that, her kids.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to any animal rescue organization.
