WATCH: Another Piece of Tuscaloosa’s McFarland Mall Falls Friday As Demolition Nears End
The demolition of Tuscaloosa's McFarland Mall is almost complete after the roof of the building's former food court was torn down Friday morning.
Local businessman Stan Pate, who owns the McFarland Mall property, live-streamed the demolition of the food court's iconic skylight just before 10 a.m. Friday.

Watch the demolition below.
Final plans for the site, which sits on prime real estate at the corner of McFarland and Skyland Boulevards, have yet to be determined and shared.
Pate is partnering with Tuscaloosa City Councilman Cassius Lanier to bring new life to the area, though, and earlier this year said he wants the McFarland Mall property to become the home of "a legacy project."
