Mary Nell (Brown) Phares (June 24th, 1947 – October 14th, 2022)

Mary Nell Phares, age 75 of Duncanville, passed away on October 14, 2022 at home.

Services will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Magnolia Chapel South with Bro. Leon White officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Moundville. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Edward Phares, parents; Lewis and Verna Brown, brothers; Gene Brown, George Brown, Lonnie Brown, and Bobby Brown, sisters; Lonita Lowery and great grandson; Connor Scott Poole.

Mary is survived by her only daughter; Kathy Poole (Kenneth), grandsons; Kenneth Poole, Jr. (Mindy), Christopher Poole (Tiffany), great grandchildren; Jonathan Poole, Alyssa Poole, Colby Poole, and Marleigh Poole, sisters; Helen Frazier, Laura Lowery, brother; Donald Joe Brown (Beth), her dog; Misty who she loved like a child, a very special niece; Anna Hallman, and many nieces and nephews that she loved very much.

Nell loved to cook, sewing and making quilts. She loved her animals and spending time with her family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Poole, Jr., Christopher Poole, Jonathan Poole, Rick Clark, Eddie Shirley, Ronnie Holley, and Jason Poole. Honorary pallbearers will be Amedysis Hospice Care, and Helen Frazier.
