Martha Rachel Rice (September 20th, 1938 – June 21st, 2024)
Martha Rachel Rice, age 85, of Northport, died June 21, 2024, at DCH Regional Medical Center.
Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Macedonia Baptist Church with Terrell Jones and Drew Self officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Rice; her mother, Tommie Bigham; her father, William T Bigham; one brother and two sisters. She left behind her children: Kenneth Rice, Terry (Jan) Rice and Daughter Lisa (Andy) Jones. She was a loving mother to her children and loved all her grandchildren, Dawn (Brandon) Marcum, Lindsey (Justin) McCollum and Blake (Courtney) Jones; and great-grandchildren, Caden, Westin, and Skylar McCollum, Landon Marcum, and Clinton “C.J.” Jones.
Pallbearers will be Andy Jones, Blake Jones, Justin McCollum, Brandon Marcum, Sam Rice, Caden McCollum, Westin McCollum, Landon Marcum.
Honorary pallbearers are her beloved friends and staff at Forest Manor Nursing Home; and her special friend, Ms. Barbara McCafferty.
