Sweet Water Woman Killed in Marengo County Single-Vehicle Wreck

A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Marengo County Friday.

According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency spokesperson Reginal King, Misty Garner, 41, of Sweet Water was driving down Nicholsville Road in her 2018 Honda CRV at around 2 a.m. on May 14. The report indicated that her vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree.

"Garner, who was not using a seat belt, was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene," King said in a statement.

There are no more details available at this time. ALEA Troopers are investigating the incident.
