Thanksgiving is all about faith, family and friends and of course food brings it all together. All of that will be on display tomorrow (Friday) at the McDonald-Hughes Activity Center (3101 Martin Luther King Boulevard) in West End.

The 6:00pm event is being hosted by a group of local and West Alabama leaders. That group includes West Alabama state legislative leaders Senator Bobby Singleton, State Rep. Chris England, State Rep. A.J. McCampbell, and State Rep. Curtis Travis.

Doors will open at 5:30 pm at McDonald-Hughes for the fourth annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner.

Organizers are thanking their community partners and volunteers for helping make the annual holiday dinner possible. The event will include free food, entertainment, surprise give aways, special recognitions, and more! Area residents are encouraged to bring family and friends to the dinner. It is truly what Thanksgiving is supposed to be about - community.
