Lake View is a town of a few thousand residents on the eastern border of Tuscaloosa County with Jefferson County and the county club is a popular hangout for those who live nearby.

Kennedy said two men were involved in a physical fight in the parking lot of the club, when Edward Williams, 57, allegedly stabbed the other man several times.

The victim was hospitalized, Kennedy said, but is expected to survive.

Williams was charged with one count of second-degree assault, a felony, and was committed to jail.
