Tuscaloosa’s Free Summer Movie Series At Government Plaza Is Back
Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa recently announced that they will host their free movie series at Government Plaza for the third year in a row.
Movies in the Park is a six-week event where members of the Tuscaloosa community can gather at Government Plaza to enjoy family-friendly movies free of charge.
"We are super excited to be able to bring movies in the park back for a 3rd year," said David DuBose, Market President of Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa.
"This is one of the only free family events in Tuscaloosa. Folks can gather the kids, get outside and enjoy these free family movies for 6 Saturdays in June and July. Our sponsors make this event possible."
Families are encouraged to come out just after dusk for a film and local eats from area food trucks. After the movie, there will still be time to head back home for bedtime.
The series will begin on June 3rd with the classic Homeward Bound.
The love for animals continues in June because, on June 10th, we'll be showing the Disney classic The Lion King on the big screen.
