Movies in the Park is a six-week event where members of the Tuscaloosa community can gather at Government Plaza to enjoy family-friendly movies free of charge.

"We are super excited to be able to bring movies in the park back for a 3rd year," said David DuBose, Market President of Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa.

"This is one of the only free family events in Tuscaloosa. Folks can gather the kids, get outside and enjoy these free family movies for 6 Saturdays in June and July. Our sponsors make this event possible."

Families are encouraged to come out just after dusk for a film and local eats from area food trucks. After the movie, there will still be time to head back home for bedtime.

The series will begin on June 3rd with the classic Homeward Bound.

The love for animals continues in June because, on June 10th, we'll be showing the Disney classic The Lion King on the big screen.

Football lovers will enjoy another classic from the Disney catalog on June 17. the movie for that night will be Remember the Titans.
We're headed to the classroom with Akeelah and the Bee on June 24th.
Anyone with pets? You'll love checking out Clifford The Big Red Dog on the big screen at Government Plaza on July 1st.
We wrap up the movie series with a lovable classic, Ferris Bueller's Day Off on July 8th.
