If you love margaritas, this is one event you’re going to want to circle on your calendar.

Tuscaloosa is getting ready to host the Margarita Festival on Saturday, April 11, bringing together thousands of people for a full day of sipping, tasting, and competition.

The event is expected to draw around 2,500 margarita lovers, all with one job , help decide who has the best margarita in the city.

Hosted by the International Margarita Organization, the festival will feature a head to head battle between some of Tuscaloosa’s top bars and restaurants. From sweet to spicy to creative, attendees will get to sample a wide range of flavors and cast their vote for their favorite.

Each ticket includes 10 margarita samples, with 3.5 ounce pours served over ice by participating locations.

Beyond the competition, the festival will also feature a live DJ, street food vendors, and a beer garden, creating a full experience that goes beyond just the drinks.

There will also be a chance to win a trip to Mexico, with proceeds from that raffle going toward children’s charities.
