Former Tide DL Isaiah Buggs Sentenced In Animal Cruelty Case
Isaiah Buggs has officially been sentenced after being charged with two counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty.
In June, Buggs had his bond revoked for the two animal cruelty charges following an arrest on charges of Domestic Violence and second-degree burglary. One of the conditions of his release on the animal cruelty bond was that he would not commit any more crimes.
According to AP News, Isaiah Buggs has been convicted on two counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty charges and was sentenced to a year of hard labor and also having to serve 60 days. AP News states that "the rest would be suspended for two years “pending the behavior of the defendant.”
In addition, Buggs isn't allowed to have or be around firearms or own dogs or cats.
As previously reported by the Tuscaloosa Thread, Buggs also had his Hookah Lounge shut down after surrendering his business license in addition to other legal proceedings in Tuscaloosa, including allegedly putting his hands on the Tuscaloosa Police Chief.
Following his arrests, Buggs was released from the Kansas City Chiefs according to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network.
