There is a low risk of strong to severe storms, with active weather expected between Noon and 10 p.m.

Threat Potential

The primary threats are damaging winds with gusts up to 60 mph and a 5 to 14% chance of quarter-size hail.

“Instability is not especially high, and wind fields are weak, so severe thunderstorms are not expected,” said James Spann, Alabama Weather Network and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist.
