Major Crash Closes Westbound Lanes On I-20/59

Multiple traffic issues have developed this afternoon in West Alabama.

I-20/59 EB/WB @ MP 90 before Exit 89: Daimler Benz Blvd in Vance

Crash causing a road closure. Seek an alternate route.

Eastbound has one lane open; however, Westbound is completely shut down.

We just spoke with Alabama State Trooper Reginald King, and he tells us that several first responders are working to safely clear the area first and foremost.

At that point, the next goal will be to reopen the highway.

Several first responders have also reported a serious fire in one of the vehicles involved.

Drivers should take the Woodstock (exit 97) exit for an alternate route.
