I've never seen anything like it, and today it involves a food that just about every normal, sane, and law-abiding citizen enjoys.

You can't have mac & cheese without the cheese!

According to our News/FDA reporter, Don Hartley, here is the vital info:

The FDA has elevated a cheese recall due to possible metal contamination. The Great Lakes Cheese Co. Inc. originally issued a voluntary recall on Oct. 3 due to potential contamination with metal fragments, which pose a risk of internal injury if consumed. It was sold under dozens of brand names at Target, Walmart, Aldi, Publix, and other major retailers across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Borden is one of the brands affected. The recall includes multiple types of shredded cheese and has various sell-by dates. To get details and check any shredded cheese you purchased, check the FDA website. You can throw the item away or return it to the store where you bought it and get a refund. Over a million and a half packages of shredded are affected.
