New Tuscaloosa FBLA Chapter Wants You to Join the Socktober Drive
The Alberta School of Performing Arts has launched a new chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), with students in grades 5, 6, 7, and 8 participating.
The newly launched FBLA is off to a great start, igniting enthusiasm with its inaugural community-driven event, Socktober. This exciting donation drive is set to make a big impact by bringing warmth and goodwill.
FBLA students selected socks because they are a top item requested by homeless shelters. Some who face homelessness are often met with a lack of clean and dry socks.
How You Can Help
You can donate new socks of all sizes for children and adults to the Socktober donation bin in the front lobby of The Alberta School of Performing Arts, located at 2700 University Blvd E, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404. Residents can drop off socks during school operational hours. This donation drive ends Thursday, October 31.
"Socktober holds immense significance as it embodies FBLA's core mission of service, education, and community enhancement," said Vanessa Davis, FBLA Co-Advisor. "Service is the heartbeat of our efforts, fueling transformative contributions to societal betterment."
