Primary Threats

The National Weather Service in Birmingham said the primary concerns are “damaging winds up to 60 mph, hail up to quarter size, and a brief tornado or two.”

“A few of the heavier storms could produce strong, gusty winds and small hail. But wind fields are fairly weak and the overall threat is low,” said James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist.
