
Tuscaloosa’s 101.7 The River Sends Two People To Dove Awards
Each industry has its elite awards presentation, from the Oscars for films to the Emmys for television, as well as awards for top musical genres. In Christian and Gospel music, it's the Dove Awards.

For the first time in Tuscaloosa radio history, a local station is sending two people to this year's 57th Annual Dove Awards on October 6th in Nashville, Tennessee.

The new contemporary Christian station here in Tuscaloosa, 101.7 The River, is sending two local folks to this huge show, and the contest to win begins Friday, September 25, during the Late Afternoon Show with DC, Holli & Brother Scott. During the 3 pm hour, you will hear the hosts tell you when to call, and only five listeners will be entered to win. The opportunities to win will be held Friday, Sept. 25; Monday, Sept. 28; Tuesday, Sept. 29; Wednesday, Sept. 30; and Thursday, October 1st.
Only FIVE people will qualify to win tickets to the Dove Awards. The winners will be announced on Friday, October 2, during the Late Afternoon Show on 101.7 The River.
It is the biggest night in Christian music, and it will air on national television and stream worldwide. Here's a quick rundown of the artists that will be appearing at this year's Dove Awards:
Tauren Wells is hosting once again.
Brandon Lake, Phil Wickham, Josiah Queen, Lauren Daigle, CeCe Winans, TobyMac, Anne Wilson, for King + Country, and Matt Maher will be performing. That's only a few names on the performers list, and we haven't even touched on this year's nominees.
