HUNTSVILLE, Ala.- Alabama Women's Basketball achieved their first road victory on Thursday, defeating the Alabama A&M Bulldogs 84-59. This win marks a strong 2-0 start for the Crimson Tide.

The game kicked off with a six-point lead as Alabama opened with a 10-6 run, highlighted by consecutive 3-pointers from Sarah Ashlee Barker and Aaliyah Nye. The Crimson Tide continued their momentum into the second quarter, launching a 12-4 run that extended their lead to 21 points by halftime, with a score of 46-25.

In the second half, Alabama maintained their intensity, outscoring the Bulldogs 15-7 in the third quarter and finishing with an impressive 75% shooting from beyond the arc 3-4.

The Crimson Tide recored their largest lead of the game at 33 points during the fourth quarter. They will continue their campaign back at Coleman Coliseum on Sunday to face Troy at 2:00 p.m.

•With seven lead changes in the first quarter, the Crimson Tide held the advantage for the remaining 36:07 minutes of the game
• Shot 56.5%  (35-62) from the field and 53.3% (8-15) from behind the arc
•Scored 54 points in the paint with 22 points coming off the bench
• Shot 75% (12-16) from the field during the second quarter compared to 56.3%  (9-16) in the first

  • Diana Collins recorded her first double-figure with 10-points
  •  Barker had 19 points
  • Zaay Green recorded 14 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals
  • Aaliyah Nye (12)
  • Barker, Green, and Nye recored their second-straight double-digit game. Collins tied her career-high 10 points. Essence Cody and Barker both collected a team leading seven rebounds.
