Alabama fans don't have to wait any longer. According to a story posted by Football Scoop, The Crimson Tide are set to hire Washington's William Inge, who coached linebackers for the Huskies under Kalen DeBoer.

Inge has been with DeBoer since their time at Indiana together in 2019. Most recently, Inge was the assistant head coach, co-defensive coordinator, and linebackers coach for Washington in 2022 and 2023.

According to the story by John Brice of Football Scoop, Inge is expected to work with the linebackers at Alabama, although it is not yet confirmed whether it will be inside or outside linebackers. Either way, Inge will have plenty of talent at his disposal.

Alabama appears to have finalized its initial on-field coaching staff under Kalen DeBoe. It should look something like:

Kalen DeBoer: Head Coach
Ryan Grubb: Offensive Coordinator
Kane Wommack: Defensive Coordinator
Scott Huff: OL Coach
JaMarcus Shephard: WR Coach
Robert Gillespie: RB Coach
Nick Sheridan: TE Coach
Freddie Roach: Assistant HC/DL Coach
William Inge: LB Coach
Colin Hitschler: Co-DC/DB Coach
Maurice Linguist: Co-DC/DB Coach

One of Inge or Sheridan is expected to coach special teams. In the past, Alabama has had the tight end coach in charge of that unit, but Coach DeBoer might want to shuffle some things.

2023 Iron Bowl

The 2023 Iron Bowl was one for the books, finishing with 4th and 31.
