Receiver Malik Benson announced via Twitter that he chose FSU over Florida. Meanwhile, backup linebacker Kendrick Blackshire is now looking for a new home.

Blackshire is a junior who had his ups and downs in Tuscaloosa.  He played in 24 career games for the Crimson Tide, including seven this past season. That seven games marked the fewest of his Bama career.

3-year tenure. He was part of both the linebacker rotation and special teams. He registered a career-high 16 tackles – a career-high – one tackle for loss and one forced fumble/fumble recovery.

Benson was a juco All-American who never panned out in his lone Tuscaloosa season. He finished the '23 campaign with 13 catches, 162 yards and one TD in 14 games.
