Alabama Men’s Basketball Coach Nate Oats Shares Injury Updates Ahead of Saturday Matchup with Arizona
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama men's basketball head coach Nate Oats provided updates on three of the Crimson Tide's injured stars, with Aden Holloway, Taylor Bol Bowen, and Keitenn Bristow all banged up after the tough opening-season stretch for the Crimson Tide men's basketball team to start the 2025-26 season.

"Keitenn [Bristow] and Taylor [Bol Bowen] both practiced," Oats said. "[They did pretty much everything they could do, and I think Taylor looks great. As long as he doesn't have any setbacks, I anticipate him playing.
Bristow has only played in three games this season, but when he has, he's made a big impact for the Crimson Tide. His Alabama debut came against then-No. 8 Illinois, where he played 19 minutes, scoring 10 points, and collecting eight boards (second-most behind Amari Allen's 11) in Alabama's 90-86 win over the Fighting Illini. His last game action came against UNLV in the Players' Era Festival, only playing 12 minutes against the Rebels. Bristow had a boot on his right foot the day after the Tide's 115-76 win over UNLV.
Bol Bowen missed Alabama's most recent game on Sunday, a 97-55 victory over UTSA in Coleman Coliseum. His last action came on December 3 against Clemson, scoring 11 points and collecting five boards in Alabama's 90-84 victory over the Tigers. Bol Bowen, a 6-foot-10, 202-pound junior from Jericho, Vermont, averages 10.9 points and 4.8 rebounds per game when he does play for Alabama.
“[Aden] Holloway, very limited practice yesterday. We’ll see how he feels this morning, see what he can do today," Oats said. "That’s going to have to probably end up being a game-time, game-day decision to see how his wrist is feeling."
Holloway had a brace on his right wrist (his shooting hand) and has missed the last two games for Alabama against Clemson and UTSA. Holloway has scored double-digit points in every game this season that he has appeared in, averaging 18.2 points and 4.3 assists.
Alabama will face AP-ranked No. 1 Arizona in a return neutral-site game on Saturday, December 13, in the C.M. Newton Classic in Birmingham, Alabama.
