The ESPYs are ESPN's awards show, highlighting the best in athletics across all levels, sports, and genders. Annually, they present an Icon Award to the biggest icon in athletics.

Coach Saban retired from coaching in January, but he's still piling up the accolades. Nick Saban won the ESPY's Icon Award.

The award was presented by former Alabama running back Mark Ingram II and former Alabama quarterback Bryce Young. Ingram was Alabama's, and Saban's, first Heisman Trophy winner. Young was the most recent.

Nick Saban opened his acceptance speech by thanking Young and Ingram for presenting him with the award and showing that even though he is retired, he's still ready to go at any moment, talking about hosting practice after the show.

Coach Saban was an icon for not only Alabama football but the state of Alabama as a whole.
