Alabama Offensive Lineman Michael Carroll Re-Signs with Crimson Tide
The Crimson Tide retains a big member of its offensive line for the 2026 season, with former five-star recruit Michael Carroll re-signing with the Crimson Tide for his sophomore season, per a report from Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports.

Carroll, a 6-foot-6, 321-pound offensive lineman from IMG Academy, is a native of Doylestown, Pennsylvania. He was rated as a five-star prospect in the Tide's 2025 recruiting class, coming in as the No. 12 overall player in the class, the No. 1 interior offensive lineman, and the No. 1 player in the state of Florida. He committed to the Crimson Tide in June 2024.
He may have started as an interior offensive lineman, but he showed his value playing right tackle for the Crimson Tide, being named an On3 True Freshman All-American while earning Freshman All-SEC recognition from the conference. He appeared in 12 games for the Crimson Tide this season while making six starts at right tackle.
His retention is notable for the Crimson Tide, which has already lost six of its top seven offensive linemen from a season ago:
Kadyn Proctor (NFL Draft)
Kam Dewberry (Out of eligibility)
Parker Brailsford (NFL Draft)
Wilkin Formby (Transfer Portal)
Geno VanDeMark (Out of eligibility)
Jaeden Roberts (Out of eligibility)
Carroll will look to expand on his role from a season ago as the lone veteran so far in the offensive line room. Alabama recently added a teammate of his from IMG Academy, with former Michigan offensive lineman Kaden Strayhorn committing to the Crimson Tide from the transfer portal.
