Lebron, “I’m very big on loyalty”
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Following a spectacular sophomore campaign in Crimson and White, rumours circulated throughout the college baseball world that Alabama superstar Justin Lebron was going to hit the portal and leave Tuscaloosa for a substantial NIL check at a blue-blood baseball program.
While fans nervously waited following the season's end to learn if Lebron was going to stay in Tuscaloosa or enter the transfer portal, it was never a question for the man himself, announcing he would return to Tuscaloosa for his junior season on June 7.
"I'm very big on loyalty," Lebron said Friday in the Crimson Tide's first media availability session of the fall, "and I won't leave somewhere that I haven't given my all to."
Lebron continued, "I felt like leaving a place like this, especially with this coaching staff, what they're building here is phenomenal. There is nothing like it anywhere else. You're gonna come here, and you're gonna be a part of a family. That's what I've always wanted to be. I'm super big on family, and this is exactly what that is."

Lebron wasn't the only member of the Crimson Tide who had rumours about their departure from the program. Head coach and Texas native Rob Vaughn's name was "tossed around" as a potential candidate if Texas A&M opted to fire head coach Michael Earley.
However, A&M decided not to fire Earley, and Vaughn signed an extension with the Crimson Tide through 2030; though he gave no indication he would leave for College Station if offered the job.
Throughout his time at The Capstone, Lebron has been sensational, hitting for a strong .333 average with 29 home runs and 110 RBIs, earning multiple All-SEC and All-American honors.
