2028 4-Star QB Kingston Preyear Commits to Alabama

Alabama and head coach Kalen DeBoer continue to add to their 2028 recruiting class. 2028 4-star Kingston Preyear from Benjamin Russell High School has committed to Alabama, he announced on ESPN2. He chose the Crimson Tide over Florida and Vanderbilt.

Preyear, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound quarterback, plays for Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City, Alabama. He's already taken three visits to Alabama, with the most recent being the Crimson Tide's A-Day spring scrimmage this past April. He's also taken four visits to Auburn, two to Florida, and one to Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, and Clemson. He's ranked as the No. 56 overall prospect, the No. 4 quarterback, and the No. 5 player in Alabama, according to the Rivals Industry rankings.

He posted a 12-2 record as a sophomore in 2025 with Benjamin Russell after transferring from Montgomery Catholic, completing 61.8% of his passes for 3,026 yards and 34 touchdowns to just 5 interceptions. As a sophomore, he also ran for 518 yards and 2 touchdowns.

His commitment to Alabama pairs him with former Wildcat wide receiver and 4-star signee for the Crimson Tide, Cederian Morgan, who is a freshman in 2026.
