Kalen DeBoer Shares Update on Alabama Safety Keon Sabb
On Saturday night against the Georgia Bulldogs, Alabama safety Keon Sabb laid a hit on Georgia wide receiver Zachariah Branch with 6:06 left in the game. Sabb left the field shortly during Alabama's substitutions after the play and did not return to the field. In his place, sophomore Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. stepped in.

On Wednesday, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer was asked about Sabb's status heading into this Saturday's game against the Vanderbilt Commodores.
"He'll be playing," DeBoer said on Wednesday's coaches call. "He'll be playing on Saturday."
DeBoer was also asked how he evaluates the safety room through the first four games of the season for the Crimson Tide.
"The safeties have continued to get better. All of them, especially Keon (Sabb), his volume has continued to increase, working through fall camp," DeBoer said. "I think he's getting better and better each week, more comfortable, just physically, and I thought he's played his best football here as of late.
"And Bray's (Hubbard) just done a really good job the last couple weeks of leading the charge. He's playing hard-nosed, he's in the right places, and making the plays that we need. Whether it's getting interceptions or forcing fumbles."
Alabama will return to the field on Saturday, October 4, to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores t 2:30 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on ABC.
