Kalen DeBoer Pitches Playoffs for Alabama

Tuscaloosa, AL - The Crimson Tide is currently on the outside looking into the 12-team College Football Playoffs, and Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer has been advocating for his team to make the playoffs with a 9-3 regular season record.

Does DeBoer think Alabama deserves a playoff spot?

"I think very deserving with what we did, that we are one of those 12 teams."

I’ve been apart of championship teams. I know what looks like," DeBoer said. " The physicality that we have, the explosiveness we have- we have a defense that creates a ton of turnovers, one of the best in the country."

"We’re a very balanced team, and we have some very pronounced strengths."

"The resiliency we’ve had to come out and back up who we are and what we stand for each and every week, when it’s good, and even when we struggled a little bit- I just feel like we have all that makeup of not just a top 12 team, but a team that could win it all."

DeBoer and Alabama will sit at home during conference championship weekend, hoping the committee saw what it needed to when Alabama defeated Auburn 28-14. The final rankings show will take place on December 8 at 11:00 a.m. CT.
