Jam Miller Named Shrine Bowl POTW
After an impressive performance against the Vanderbilt Commodores in Week 6 of college football, Jam Miller was named the East-West Shrine Bowl Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

During the 30-14 victory over the Commodores, Miller recorded 22 carries for 136 yards and a touchdown. Additionally, Miller was the first Alabama running back to top 100 or more rushing yards in Southeastern Conference play since Jase McClellan in 2023 wins against the Ole Miss Rebels (105 yards) and Tennessee Volunteers (115 yards).
Miller has been impactful since his return on Sep. 27 versus the Georgia Bulldogs. Miller suffered a dislocated collarbone during a scrimmage on Aug. 19. After nursing the injury and returning to his starting role, Miller's explosiveness has aided the Crimson Tide in victories over ranked opponents such as the Commodores and Bulldogs.
Since his return, he has recorded 182 yards and a touchdown, but beyond the stats, in both wins against the Commodores and Bulldogs, he ended the game with his speed. Against the Bulldogs, he took the final pass from quarterback Ty Simpson and slid for a first down to win the game. Against the Commodores, he put the dagger in the game as he rushed into the end zone for a touchdown, increasing the score from 23-14 to 30-14.
