The game continued with a string of errors and uncharacteristic performances from the Tide. Veteran wide receiver Kobe Prentice tried to spark a comeback with a crucial third-down catch late in the second quarter but took a massive hit. Although targeting was initially called, the decision was overturned after review, raising eyebrows among fans. Prentice eventually got up but appeared to show signs of a concussion, struggling to walk and unable to leave the field unaided.

In the closing minutes of the half, Jaeden Roberts exited the game and was replaced by Geno VanDeMark. The reason for Roberts' departure remains unclear, though he did return later.

After the game, no immediate update was available on Prentice's condition, but further information is anticipated later in the week. For updates, follow along with Tide 100.9.
