Alabama baseball has struggled to find consistency this season, and it culminated in the Crimson Tide losing two out of three games against the Auburn Tigers to end the regular season, and losing its first game in Hoover at the SEC Tournament at the hands of the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Despite the struggling end to Alabama's season, the NCAA Baseball Tournament selection committee rewarded Alabama because of the Tide's strong wins, including a series win over then-No. 1 Arkansas. The thought was that Crimson Tide fans would have to travel to Oklahoma, with almost every major prediction slating Alabama to go to Norman, Oklahoma against the Sooners, or Stillman, Oklahoma against the Cowboys. However, Crimson Tide fans will instead be traveling the other direction, with Alabama set to head to Tallahassee, Florida for the Tallahassee Regional, hosted by the Florida State Seminoles. It's the second straight season Alabama Baseball has made the NCAA Tournament.

Florida State, being the host, is the one-seed in the region. Alabama came in as the two-seed, while UCF was the three-seed and Stetson was the four-seed.

Region games will begin on Friday, May 31, and that is when Alabama will take on three-seeded UCF.
