“Ballin’ in Boutwell” Opponents Named for Alabama Men’s & Women’s Basketball

Alabama men's and women's basketball will return to Boutwell Auditorium for "Ballin' in Boutwell" preseason exhibition matchups, similar to what the teams did last season. Alabama men's basketball will play Ole Miss, and Alabama women's basketball will play the University of Alabama in Huntsville, it was announced by The Next Round on Thursday morning.

For Alabama men's basketball, it's a rare matchup against an SEC opponent before conference play begins in January, with the Crimson Tide taking on Chris Beard and the Ole Miss Rebels on October 15 at 7:00 p.m. CT. Alabama will face Ole Miss during the regular season as well, with the Rebels making the trip to Coleman Coliseum during conference play. With just five returning players from the 2025-2026 roster, the matchup will provide Crimson Tide fans a first look at Alabama's eight new players.

Alabama women's basketball will face the University of Alabama at Huntsville at Noon CT on October 15, providing fans a first look at new head coach Pauline Love and the new-look Alabama women's basketball roster, which has just four returning players after former head coach Kristy Curry left the program.
