At the start of the season, the Crimson Tide was ranked No.24 in the Preseason AP Poll, marking their first appearance in the rankings since 1998. They climbed to No.19 on Dec.2, achieving their highest rank of the season, but fell out of the poll after suffering their first loss to the University of California, Berkeley on Dec.5.

Since that setback, the team has maintained an impressive undefeated record at home, and then went on the road to secure a significant victory over No.15 Michigan State (now No.19 after the loss) and triumphing over the Richmond Spiders to clinch the West Palm Classic tournament title, bringing their record to 12-1.

Moreover, on Tuesday, they were honored as the Team of the Week by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.

As their season unfolds, the Crimson Tide aims to build on their successes, coming off a 23-9 overall record and a 10-6 conference record, along with qualifying for the NCAA Tournament for the third time in four years during the 2023-24 season.

The No.20 Crimson Tide will return to Coleman Coliseum on Dec.29 to face the Jacksonville Dolphins at 11:00 a.m. CT, with the game also available on SEC Network+.
