Proctor, a 6-foot-7, 366-pound left tackle from Des Moines, Iowa, has spent three seasons as the Crimson Tide's starting left tackle. He's a former five-star recruit who chose to play for former head coach Nick Saban in 2023. After Saban's retirement, Proctor transferred to Iowa before returning to Alabama during the spring transfer portal window.

In 2023, Proctor was named to the All-SEC Freshman Team. In 2024, he missed the first two games of the season due to injury, but still earned Second Team All-SEC honors from coaches across the conference, and was named to the Outland Trophy Watch List.

In 2025, Proctor was one of the top-graded offensive linemen in the country, being named a consensus All-American, the co-recipient of the Jacobs Blocking Trophy (presented to the SEC's top offensive lineman), and named First-Team All-SEC from the Associated Press and coaches around the conference. He was also named a semifinalist for the Outland Trophy and a finalist for the Lombardi Award.

Proctor's decision now leaves Alabama with just one returning starter on the offensive line and 11 linemen on the roster for the 2026 season:

Michael Carroll (returning starter)
Jackson Lloyd
William Sanders
Casey Poe
Arkel Anugwom
Mal Waldrep
Bryson Cooley**
Chris Booker**
Jared Doughty**
Bear Fretwell**
Tyrell Miller (JUCO)

**Incoming freshmen.
