Positive Injury Updates For Alabama From On3

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- On Wednesday morning, On3's Chris Low published positive injury news regarding Alabama's offensive playmakers, with Tide 100.9 sources confirming Low's report.

According to the report, Alabama running backs AK Dear and EJ Crowell, along with wide receiver Noah Rogers, could return by the end of September, with Crowell expected back by Alabama's SEC opener against Kentucky in week two.

Dear suffered a lower-body injury during Alabama's first scrimmage of fall camp a couple of weeks ago, with sources indicating he had tightrope surgery and a rough six-week recovery timeline. If Dear is back by the end of September, he would return for the Crimson Tide five weeks after suffering the injury.

Crowell has dealt with a nagging right calf injury during his time with the Crimson Tide, missing most of spring practice and being limited during fall camp. He has not participated in any scrimmages for the Crimson Tide, but the former five-star running back still has a bright future with the Crimson Tide if he can stay healthy.

Noah Rogers suffered a scary-looking knee injury during Alabama's A-Day scrimmage in April and was expected to miss the first half of the season. Since then, he was spotted in practice photos distributed by the university on Sunday.

Noah's had the chance to get on the field the last few days, and going back to spring - the spring game, A-Day, when the injury happened. The timeline that he was on and what we expected, he's much ahead of that," DeBoer said of Rogers following Monday's practice. "That's a tribute to his mindset, his positivity from the time he was diagnosed; he was still up here [pointing high], and just was not gonna let it deter him from continuing to move forward and make the most of every day he could. He's done that. Our team just celebrated him being back out here and moving around. He's not doing team drills or anything like that, but he's making a progression, and he's much ahead of schedule from what we originally thought."
