Alabama Football Practice Observations: Fall Camp Day 2

Day two of media observation for Alabama Football fall camp 2025 is in the books, and with it, some notable observations about the defensive units for the Crimson Tide.

We get several media viewings for the 2025 fall camp, which allows us to spend more time watching each group. Here are the observations for day two:

Starting on offense, Alabama's quarterbacks practiced in the same order as yesterday: Ty Simpson led the way with Austin Mack and Keelon Russell (in that order) following him. They spent time working on passes to the running back, first throwing the flat with a staff member acting as a defender covering the running back, then on wheel routes down the sideline.

Following Kane Womack around will make anyone lose some weight. He's high intensity all the time, starting practice by working with the outside linebackers, where he provided some extra coaching to freshman Justin Hill.

Is it notable that Justin Hill lined up ahead of Noah Carter and Yhonzae Pierre during individual period? Maybe. Still, the room is led by Qua Russaw, who returns for his second year starting at Wolf.

Wommack then ran to the other field to work alongside defensive line coach Freddie Roach and the defensive line. Steve Bolo Mboumoua had to get in a couple of extra reps, but we had to mute the video due to language from Alabama defensive lineman Kelby Collins.

Former Alabama linebacker Jamey Mosley (who is on staff) was working with the defensive line room, where he would provide extra work for Keon Keeley, who is entering his third season with the Crimson Tide.
