Alabama Defensive Player Suspended
The Alabama Crimson Tide's WOLF position has taken a bit of a hit in terms of depth, with the report that Que Robinson is out for the rest of the season.
Alabama will rely on Yhonzae Pierre and Qua Russaw to play the snaps that Robinson left behind following his injury. One depth piece that Alabama could have relied on is redshirt junior Keanu Koht, but his status is up in the air according to the Alabama coaching staff.
"He won't be with us this week," according to Alabama defensive coordinator Kane Wommack.
Koht did not travel with the Crimson Tide to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for Alabama's 42-13 win over the LSU Tigers.
Kalen DeBoer provided a little more details on Monday during his weekly press conference, "He's suspended," Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer said. "I'm not gonna get into length or anything like that, but he won't be with us this weekend."
Koht has played in seven games for Alabama so far this season, totaling five tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery.
Koht did not travel with Alabama to Tennessee for the Crimson Tide's matchup with the Tennessee Volunteers.
Alabama will kick off against Mercer at 1:00 p.m. CT on ESPN+ inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Alabama Radio Broadcast can be heard on Tide 100.9 and 95.3 The Bear.
