Alabama Awarded Top Three Offense According to EA
Ever since the hiring of Lane Kiffin in 2013, Alabama has been known to have a prolific offense with a strong quarterback. It culminated in Tua Tagovailoa and the Rydeouts, and then Alabama saw its first quarterback win the Heisman Trophy - Bryce Young in 2021.
Alabama's offense was still good in 2023, but compared to what is expected from the 2024 team, last year's offense struggled mightily. Kalen Deboer, the new head coach at Alabama, is an offensive-minded coach and brought most of his offensive staff with him to Alabama from Washington.
In multiple interviews since the staff got to Alabama, Jalen Milroe's skillset has been highlighted and bragged about. As the highest-returning player who received a Heisman vote last season, Milroe is expected to be an electric signal-caller in college football in 2024.
EA Sports recognizes Alabama's dynamic and allegedly improved offense, grading the Crimson Tide as a 91 overall rating in the new EA Sports College Football, coming in as the No. 3 offense in the game behind Georgia and Oregon.
Alabama likely has several highly-rated players, including multiple starters and potential starters along the offensive side of the ball. Jalen Milroe is likely the highest-rated, with players such as Kendrick Law, Tyler Booker, Jam Miller, and Justice Haynes likely also highly rated.
Several newcomers to Alabama's team are likely to receive a high rating as well. Germie Bernard, the transfer wide receiver from Washington, is set to be the top wide receiver for Alabama when the season starts. Ryan Williams and Caleb Odom are also two newcomers in the receiver room who are likely to be highly rated based on their high school rankings.
Along the offensive line, Parker Brailsford was graded as the best center in the country, likely notching himself a high rating in EA Sports College Football. Kadyn Proctor is also (technically) a newcomer to Alabama after spending the spring semester at Iowa. He played well at times for Alabama last season, and could still get a pretty high rating.
